Veros were initially engaged by the client to undertake due diligence of the site purchased conditionally from Waikato Regional Airport. This involved preparing and lodging land use consent and undertaking financial feasibility to test the viability of the project. Following this, the client partnered with Veros to deliver the project as principal representative.
One of Australasia’s largest, privately-owned farm machinery distributors, Landpower purchased land adjacent to Hamilton Airport to build a new complex. The project is taking place on a three-hectare site, that will become the new home of CLAAS Harvest Centre, Waikato. It will also include a training and demonstration hub for five other dealerships in the North Island with a showroom, offices, parts storage, workshops and yards.
The client had been in the market for many years and had gone down the path on a few properties before Veros were brought onboard. Our team’s effort in our initial stage of work gave the client confidence to proceed with the sale.
The team implemented a design and construction contract to provide arms’ length contact between client and contractor. As a result, the client’s interest was protected whilst retaining strong relationships between entities, facilitating a strong and efficient delivery model.
The project had a limited timeline which required collaborating between the client and the land vendor to allow early access to start building works prior to title being issued. Our team have ensured the smooth delivery of the design, construction and migration associated with the project.
