Our team at Veros were asked to deliver to the market 100 sqm industrial units on Matakokiri Drive in the well-established industrial area of Tauriko.
This development is made up of 14 industrial trade units, each designed to suit a range of light industrial occupiers and investors. The construction of the units will comprise of tried and tested materials, designed to be reliable, low maintenance and long-lasting. Our team advised on the early project feasibility and land acquisition for the development. We looked at a number of development options for the site. Light industrial units made commercial sense in this well-established area on Matakokiri Drive.
Drawing on the skills and knowledge of both our Development Management and Project Management experts, our team have managed the design of the units to allow the delivery of an efficient layout that maximises floor area whilst also providing ample parking for the occupiers.
Sales enquiry was slightly impacted by COVID lockdown, however, before construction began in October, Phil Hunt from Ray White Tauranga had sold all 14 units, with a mix of owner-occupiers and investors. This shows the demand for light industrial units remains strong post-lockdown.
Marra Construction has been appointed as a Design & Build the main contractor to construct the development, and the project is due for completion in June 2021.
We are excited to collaborating on this project, facilitating the growth of light-industrial businesses in the Tauranga area and providing a home for small business to establish themselves and grow.
