- Tauranga Mountain Bike Club
- New Zealand Men’s Water Polo team
- Tauranga Boys’ College First XV Rugby
- Karapiro Kayaking Club
- Rotorua Mountain Bike Club
Health & Safety
The health and safety of our employees, clients, contractors, and the public is a top priority for us. At the forefront of everything we do is a standards mandate based on maintaining our record of excellence. We have best practice systems and processes in place to mitigate risk.
Everyone on our team holds a current Site Safe certification and ongoing training ensures we strengthen our knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety risk management.
We are committed to:
- Preventing injury and ill health, by delivering safe and healthy services to the benefit of staff, contractors, and clients.
- Complying with all regulatory, industry, business, and client Health & Safety requirements relative to our operations and the services we deliver.
- Identifying, controlling, and reducing Health & Safety risks relating to the management of our operations and the services we deliver.
- Providing relative training and equipment to carry out all work activities.
- Regularly reviewing our Health & Safety systems to ensure continual improvement in our Health & Safety management and performance.
Sustainable Futures
Forward-thinking and fresh solutions are part of our DNA. That’s why we’re always looking at new ways to sustain and enhance our people, places, and the planet.
Our sustainability strategy focuses on
- Sustainable leadership: Our aim is for everyone at Veros to be a sustainable industry leader. To achieve this, we have qualified Greenstar and Nabers practitioners across the business and understand the commercial and environmental benefits of choosing a sustainable development pathway. We have quarterly masterclasses on sustainability trends where we share innovative, industry solutions.
- Challenging the status quo: We encourage sustainable behaviour throughout the business with waste/recycling initiatives, a paperless target of 2023, e-scooters in each office, and carpooling is encouraged. We also promote staff wellbeing through regular health-led initiatives.
- Sustainable projects: As industry leaders, our focus is on the built environment and the delivery of sustainable property solutions for our clients. We are committed to minimising the impact of our commercial activities and protecting the natural environment where we can. With new projects, we consider opportunities to incorporate viable, sustainable, and innovative features. Veros also has a Sustainable Working Group that regularly checks progress against our initiatives.
- Flying the flag: Veros is a proud member of the New Zealand Green Building Council, which champions more sustainable built environments. We have two qualified Green Star Practitioners leading our vision.
Leadership in spades
Passionate about leadership in property and beyond, here’s how we’ve committed to connecting and growing business leaders.
A number of our staff have stepped into leadership roles, representing and advocating for the property industry, including Property Council New Zealand and Urban Task Force Tauranga. We are also Chamber of Commerce and LAPA (Local Authorities Property Association) members.
