We are extremely pleased to share and celebrate the appointment of Director, Michael Kemeys to the new Tauranga Urban Design Panel.
To support quality design outcomes in our city, Tauranga City Council is setting up an independent Urban Design Panel, which will be operative in early 2023. Mike and others on the panel will review significant, large-scale private and public sector development proposals, in the early stages of the resource consent process. The panel will help create high quality, context-appropriate development that contributes to functional, safe, inclusive, and attractive places and spaces.
“By being on the panel, I can ensure there is a balance of representation from across the industry and take part in important conversations that will help shape our city and strengthen the relationship between the design and development communities,” says Mike on this appointment.
The panel comprises of leading urban designers, architects, landscape architects, planners, Māori designers and property developers from within Tauranga and around New Zealand.
