Project overview
With its current building in the city scheduled for demolition, the Council had an urgent need to move to new premises that would support its diverse needs. The planned relocation would be temporary, until new Council offices were constructed in Willow Street. Veros was appointed to provide a comprehensive project management service that included:
The project involved moving 400+ staff with a great deal of time pressure. The Veros team used its site identification and project management expertise to set up governance structures, risk reporting, and complete project programming and planning around a range of project dependencies. Due to the large number of staff, the move was staged over a period of three weeks.
The contract procurement required innovation and flexibility to deal with changes in design and the time pressure of the project.
Our team supported the negotiations with the building owner, ensuring the lease agreement signed provided a beneficial result to the Council.
